Annual Crane Inspections

OSHA 29 CFR 1926.1412(f) requires an annual comprehensive inspection by a qualified person on every crane in service — and ASME B30.5 (telescopic booms) and B30.22 (articulating / knuckle booms) lay out the technical criteria you have to meet. If you miss it you could be put out of service. We help you avoid that with Annual Crane Inspections.

Our annual inspection covers what the standards require:

  • Structural components — boom, mast, outriggers, mounting, welds, and pins
  • Hydraulic system — cylinders, hoses, pumps, valves, and pressure testing
  • Wire rope, hooks, and rigging hardware — measured against ASME rejection thresholds
  • Sheaves, drums, and load hoist mechanisms
  • Controls, limit switches, and load limiting devices (LMI / anti-two-block)
  • Operator station, decals, and load chart verification
  • Brakes, swivel, and rotation system
  • Function test under load to manufacturer specifications

You leave with a documented inspection report, a list of any deficiencies, and a clear quote, if needed, on the repairs to bring the unit back to spec. These are certified records you can hand to your safety officer, your customer, or an OSHA inspector.

Repairs & Service

We love service and repair! If something fails inspection, or you have a crane that needs servicing in the field, we’re the guys for the job. We work on most major service crane brands and either stock common parts or can order something quickly so you're not waiting weeks on a back-ordered part.

Common work we handle:

  • Hydraulic leaks, cylinder rebuilds, and hose replacement
  • Cable and hook replacement
  • Boom, stabilizers, and outrigger repair
  • Electrical and control troubleshooting (proportional valves, remote systems, LMI faults)
  • Pump, PTO, and reservoir service
  • Annual greasing, fluid changes, and preventative maintenance packages

And because we're a full upfit shop, we can handle the truck side too, truck bed repairs, lighting, air systems, drawers, vises, compressors. We’re a one-stop shop for work trucks.
